Ness Digital Engineering is a global technology company delivering digital transformation and software engineering solutions to enterprise clients worldwide.

We are currently seeking a senior finance controller to take full ownership of the Czech entity’s finance function. This role combines financial governance, operational leadership, and strategic oversight within an international structure.

This is not a traditional reporting or controlling position. It is a high-ownership leadership role with direct impact on the local organization. The position also includes statutory Managing Director responsibility for the Czech entity.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in line with reporting timelines.

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and Czech statutory accounting standards.

  • Oversee revenue recognition for fixed-price and time-and-material contracts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Monitor fixed-price projects, contract modifications, and extensions, ensuring appropriate revenue treatment.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and reconciliations to management and contractual reports.

  • Coordinate statutory, group reporting, and internal audits, ensuring timely completion.

  • Maintain accurate US GAAP to statutory reconciliations and annual roll-forwards.

Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure compliance with Czech tax regulations, VAT requirements, and statutory filings.

  • Liaise with tax advisors and regulatory authorities to support audits and assessments.

  • Oversee intercompany transactions and transfer pricing documentation.

  • Provide accurate financial data to support US tax reporting for European entities.

Cash & Working Capital Management

  • Manage cash flow and working capital optimization for the Czech entity.

  • Monitor DSO, customer collections, receivables, and unbilled revenue, with regular reporting on collection status.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and support finance team centralization initiatives aligned with the global finance center of excellence.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

  • 15+ years of senior finance leadership experience in a multinational environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.

  • Excellent skills in MS Excel

  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English;

  • Prior experience in the IT services industry or Big 4 consulting firms (PwC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte) preferred.
